I work very closely with an SEN school in Horncastle graded as 'Good' by Ofsted. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their vivacious and supportive unit. You will work with SEN students identified as having additional needs for example: ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) or children needing speech and language support. You will work on both a 1:1 basis and with small groups and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with SEN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate students as well as being able to work effectively in a team. SEN experiences in schools will be advantageous, but not essential if you are willing to develop your skills and attend training in school. You will need to take into account student's learning styles have the ability to use positive behaviour management.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would be;

* Experienced in supporting students with ASC/Speech and Language/SEN

* Have a good knowledge of behaviour management techniques

* Patient and sensitive

* Able to motivate children who are disengaged from their learning

* Experienced in supporting students in a classroom setting

Teaching Personnel can offer you;
