Groundworks Site Managers required to be responsible for effective and efficient delivery of site activities together with adhering to and keeping up to date, with the Group's strong Health and Safety regulations. To work alongside stakeholders in ensuring the project is run to time cost and quality.

These roles are available throughout the South East.

Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

* To adhere to all issued technical drawings, health and safety documentation and project method statements.
* To deliver all construction requirements as per agreed programme and specification.
* Knowledge and understanding of effective customer care processes and the effects on financial costs.
* The effective and timely engagement of site staff to ensure that the optimum numbers of personnel are on-site when required.
* To ensure the site remains tidy and safe.
* Responsible for completing compliance checks, including right to work, CSCS / training records and processing driving licence checks for applicable employees.
* In conjunction with the Contract Manager, manage all day-to- day personnel issues regarding employment, grievances and disciplinary issues and ensure that correct procedures are adhered to.
* To ensure that all quality processes are adhered to on-site together with ensuring that specific paperwork is returned to the office in an accurate and timely manner.
* The effective engagement and supervision of subcontractors.
* To work alongside the quantity surveyor, buyer and estimator in ensuring the project is run to time cost and quality.
* To work closely with the client to ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.
* To ensure the project costs are monitored and exceptions are highlighted to the Contracts Manager if necessary.

Requirements of the Site Manager:

* A solid understanding with previous experience in Groundworks /Civils
* Solid experience of site working
* Experience of health and safety regulations with valid CSCS Gold Card
* 2-day SMSTS site supervisors' course
* 4-day first aid at work training
* Manual handling /abrasive wheels / noise & vibration training
* Prior experience in Project Management or site management.
* Experience of managing multi [phase projects
* A strong awareness of site health and safety
* Pro-active, organised and hands on approach
* Team player with the ability to communicate and influence
* Generates own ideas and develops other ideas for continued advancement
* Proven strong negotiating and interactive style
* Adapts and responds to change
* An eye for detail
* Maintain appropriate records on the project and communicate commercial status of the tasks for which they are responsible
* Uses a range of both direct and indirect methods to constantly monitor customer satisfaction and ensure customer intelligence is up to date.
* To build sustainable and professional relationships with clients and their teams
