Job objectives
Act as an interface across all teams to develop and deliver an effective global sales strategy that will increase revenue streams. The role will focus mainly on Global Awards and Festival products with a view to including other revenue sources.
Working in conjunction with management, develop and deliver the sales plan and manage sales initiatives to support the business strategy for all awards, festival, membership, and other transactional sales
Manage a sales and business development team ensuring global markets and audience types are fully resourced
Ensure the team is communicating to the highest standard and has all the relevant tools and information to succeed in their role
Work with team Directors to set target for all sales teams across markets and products
Account manage and develop top tier customers, tailor product packages to client requirements, be the primary point of contact when support or information is required
Work across all teams and pro-actively identify potential sales opportunities and routes to meeting sales targets in relevant target markets
Develop a cohesive approach, assigning segments to sales staff to prevent crossover
Utilise CRM system to ensure all interactions are recorded and provide insight into customer journeys, lifecycles and behaviours
Work closely with international representatives to set and report on international targets, providing support and information as required
Regularly review rates, products, promotions, packages literature with team Directors, to ensure sales materials are appropriate, competitive and relevant for target audiences
Define metrics and develop internal reports for management team, executive board and other stakeholders on sales, pipelines and activity
Co-ordinate regular training sessions to keep sales teams informed of product and service developments and support them to sell these accordingly
- Manage temporary team of telemarketers on campaigns including the Awards Call & Festival
- Write job descriptions and hire temporary sales staff as required
- Manage the review on sales leads and quality of leads
- Manage data cleansing staff where necessary
- Work with CRM manager and marketing director to ensure leads are cleansed and validated appropriately
Work with the marketing department to ensure marketing materials are delivered to support your scheduled sales campaigns
Work with the marketing department to ensure a suite of marketing materials to support sales and promotion remains current and fit for purpose
- Minimum of four years sales management experience
- Minimum of two years managing a sales teams of five or more
- Global sales experience preferred

- A successful track record in working to targets within sales and marketing, ideally within the events industry
- Experience of working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
- A team worker who has experience of working within a multi-disciplined team in the achievement of a common goal
- Experience of delivering and communicating at a senior level within a business
