Head of Organisational Insight and Intelligence – Barnet – 3 Month Contract – �400.00 per day (inside IR35, Umbrella) – start date ASAP.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Organisational Insight and Intelligence in Barnet who will be responsible for scoping out current assets in terms of capacity and capability of data management, its interpretation and usage to inform strategies and policies across the organisation; and to propose an organisational model that is fit for the future.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

* Working alongside senior managers and a wide range of stakeholders to understand data maturity across the organisation – developing an action plan based on this and implementing tools to ‘mature’ the organisations intelligence and insight capacity and capability.
* Determining, suggesting and implementing efficient data working practices through the development of a Business Intelligence and Insight Strategy across the organisation, using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform policy and strategy.
* Providing evidence based leadership on business intelligence, formulating short, medium and long-term vision and strategy for data, implementing and overseeing the transition to a ‘mature’ data driven organisation, through automating data reporting and developing visualised data dashboards.
* Identifying organisational needs and conceptualising, designing and developing data requirements – developing dashboards, programmes and initiatives to drive improvement across Directorates.
* Identifying opportunities throughout the organization to create impact through analytics; embedding true and relevant insights that are expressed in clear and concise way.
* Ensuring appropriate tools and platforms are in place to leverage the data and insights and explore how to link performance data into informing service improvements and commissioning cycle.
* Defining and setting analytical reporting standards and quality assurance across the organisation to ensure best practices are adopted.
* To work closely with Strategy Team in ensuring data, intelligence and insight is fed into policy and strategy development.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Significant experience of managing complex multi-disciplinary teams within a local government context at a management level.
* Excellent knowledge of best practice in intelligence and insight programme management and information systems.
* A thorough knowledge of political developments and current thinking in local government and the links to reforms in other public services.
* Successful track record of informing development and delivery of services which are effective at meeting customer needs and are cost efficient.
* Strong leadership, collaboration and people management skills.
* Strong project management skills and experience.

36 hours per week.
