What you’ll be doing: The Events Manager will lead the team of Event Planners and Event Coordinators in the development and delivery of the annual events plan. They will oversee the effective and efficient management of the events management process to operationalise the plan to time, quality and budget. Responsible for managing margin as directed by the Go To Market strategy, and for achieving customer and commercial targets through effective management of the Events team in the day to day operational delivery of events. Key responsibilities include: • managing the team to operationalise the annual event plan • inputting into the resource and budget plan and day to day monitoring of budget and resource requirements • managing all risks and issues appropriately • being responsible for ensuring all events adhere to regulatory and legal requirements • monitoring the cost of delivery of events and actively working to reduce costs to deliver an improved ROI • reporting on the delivery of events • working with Procurement to manage external suppliers required to support events such as venue providers • coordinating large scale events and facilitating in support of our strategic objectives What we are looking for: • experience in event management • good understanding of events management systems • strong planning and co-ordination skills • ability to manage the day to day operations of a delivery team • experience of delivering to deadlines and prioritising workloads • ability to analyse a process and ways of working to identify improvements • excellent relationship management skills • excellent people management skills • good interpersonal and communication skills to support excellent customer service What’s in it for you: An opportunity to work at the heart of the education system for an organisation committed to our people, and provides development opportunities to help you grow, innovate and make a real difference.
