Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Location: Flexible location within UK, with regular travel across the UK Full Time 35 hours per week Fixed term contract until 30th July 2021 Salary: Range from GBP 27,791 - GBP 32,000 per annum, depends on experience Could you drive service improvement and innovation across British Red Cross Operations? A fantastic opportunity has just become available for a candidate with exceptional research and analytical skills to join our Insight and Improvement team. What you will be doing You will be joining the team to identify the value of the First Call services for service users and the effectiveness of the new service delivery models being tested. BRC's First Call service supports vulnerable older people to recover from a crisis, increase their confidence and remain living independently at home You will evaluate the effectiveness of the new model of First Call support, identifying the successes and challenges associated with these new approaches. The evaluation will identify the extent to which the service is being delivered as intended and achieving the outcomes desired. Reporting to the Evaluation Manager, you will rapidly investigate any trends and themes in service delivery and outcomes as they arise to support real-time troubleshooting and service improvement. About the team Insight and Improvement are responsible for supporting the collection of high quality data about the UK services we deliver and the positive impact we provide. We use the data we collect to provide insight and evidence to drive service improvement and innovation. Insight and Improvement is a strategic priority for the organisation. Our ambition is to become the 'go to' organisation in a range of environments in the UK such as the space between home and hospital, the emergency response market, support to displaced people and first aid learning. This role might be for you if You've got proven analytical ability in both quantitative and qualitative; a thorough understanding/experience of using data, research and insight from data and research to add value You've got experience applying analysis to a range of situations and extensive familiarity with research techniques and their application in a range of social and economic policy contexts You've got proven ability to work to very tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, with often changing and competing priorities. You are able to demonstrable project management experience with ability to plan and manage concurrent projects and activities You will be working with a degree of independence, in a close team environment You will require good interpersonal skills and a resilient character, responding well to ambiguity; building strong and effective alliances and relationships You will need to actively listen to those delivering services and approach situations with empathy and understanding of human drivers, as well as an ability to analyse data. An ability to be flexible and respond to challenges as they arise is also important.
