ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK £12.50 p/hour (£26,000) Start Date: January 2020. ABOUT YOU You will have full day to day ownership of the Accounts Payable function. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in developing a robust and scalable finance platform to support and enable our continued growth. For the right candidate this role offers a rare combination of being able to play a lead role in the organisation's core financial operations. PURPOSE Ensuring the effective day to day operation of the Accounts Payable function. Helping to provide and communicate timely and accurate information to management to aid decision making. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Vendor purchase management -review, approval and processing. Travel and Expenses management- review, approval and processing. Supplier invoice settlement. Bookkeeping- posting journals on system related to Accounts Payable. Maintain Accounts Payable related cash flow forecasts. Production and analysis of management reports to actual costs and optimization proposals. ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES Help establish and maintain robust controls, accounting policies and best practice within the finance team. CORE COMPETENCIES Minimum 2 years in a similar function, ideally within a professional services or comparable organisation. Strong technical accounting skills in respect of Accounts Payable. Excellent Excel skills and proficient in the general use of MS Office. You value systems and have a demonstrable track record of enhancing processes and continuous process improvement. Solid and demonstrable experience in most of the day to day / periodic duties listed above. You are proactive, a hard worker and thrive in a growing, changing environment. You are flexible, resilient and committed to this next stage of your career. Organised, structured approach to tasks yet able to juggle multiple deliverables.
