 RLE International is recruiting for a  Dash Systems Engineer on behalf of our automotive engineering client based in Basildon, Essex. The Dash Systems Optimisation Engineer / Dash Systems Engineer role covering Dash/Cowl, Front Floor, Cockpit, Wiring, Electrical Modules, Steering Column, Pedal Box, EBB, Dash Insulators, Interface of the Dash with Under hood Components, Safety, NVH, Durability, Corrosion Responsibilities:- ·Analyze complex systems for performance, cost and weight. · Develop benchmarks for multifunctional systems, which includes true cost, weight and functional attributes. · Work with the cross-functional teams to cascade realistic and true targets to deliver quality and value to the customer and company. · Develop innovative cross-functional solutions that deliver the vehicle targets for cost, weight and performance and meet the customer needs and expectations. · Drive trade-off discussions in Systems Engineering Reviews. ¿ Evaluate compatibility/feasibility of proposed solutions. Skills Required: · Demonstrates critical thinking, decisiveness, flexibility, knowledge and resilience. · Understanding of systems thinking and analytical skills. · Strong empathy and communication skills to enable collaboration. Skills Preferred: · Application ability with the following: ¿ OEM visualization tools (e.g. Team Centre). · OEM Design and Release systems and Requirements Databases (e.g. FEDE, WERS, eFDVS or equivalent). · SysML (MagicDraw). ¿ Quality documentation (DFMEA, LFMA, Boundary Documents). Experience Required: · 2+ years of experience with product development in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense or Medical Device industry. · Experience of completing geometrical designs on multi-part assemblies to achieve functional performance and compatibility. Experience Preferred: · Experience related to domain knowledge in Automotive Body Structures, Body Interior, Electrical Systems, Electrical Motors, Chassis or Vehicle Engineering Education Required: · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering. Education Preferred: · Evidence of CPD and potentially Associate Membership of Professional Engineering Institution (incl. INCOSE, IMechE or IET) Additional Information: · Some travel likely to Germany and US Development Centres · Would suit ambitious candidates who have 2-5 years prior experience with an engineering employer and have achieved significant project accomplishments. · They may demonstrate strong numerical or computational experience and wish to transition into a product development role. · Recent graduate and post graduate candidates will be considered based on their project experience and prior employment.
