Engagement Project Manager £50,870 - £62,643 pa  Westminster, London SW1 Can you contribute to developing and managing the Restoration and Renewal Engagement Strategy and planning of the Sponsor’s relationships with internal stakeholders? If this sounds like you, then we have an exciting opportunity to join a once-in-a lifetime programme working in a unique organisation at a time of significant change. The Palace of Westminster is home to one of the busiest and most historic parliamentary institutions in the world and is an enduring symbol of our national identity. As one of the top 5 most recognisable buildings in the world, the Palace is visited by millions of tourists each year. The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme is being set up to tackle all the work necessary to protect and preserve this UNESCO World Heritage site. It will be the biggest renovation of a historic building ever undertaken in the UK. Two separate bodies, the Sponsor Body and Delivery Authority, are being created through legislation to oversee and execute the programme of works. The Programme is a high value, technical, business critical and politically complex environment which will attract intense scrutiny. There are three main projects within this area of work: the Palace (including Heritage collections), the Northern Estate Programme and the QEII Conference Centre. The post holders will coordinate engagement and governance processes between the two Houses of Parliament and the Sponsor Body, building relationships, identifying and mitigating risks and issues to ensure that all engagement is aligned with the overarching strategic objectives of the Programme. Successful applicants will have experience of managing, delivering and measuring stakeholder plans across a major complex delivery programme. You will have strong planning, interpersonal and writing skills and be comfortable operating in a start-up style work environment.
