Highways Engineer Fixed Term, maternity cover, Full time (37 hours per week) Salary:  £29,636 - £31,371 Location:  Oakham Closing date:  18 January 2020  Interview date: TBC Do you have experience of working within a highways team? The Highways Team at Rutland are looking for a Development Control Engineer who is conscientious, self-motivated and able to motivate people around them, and wants to join a team of experts who will support and encourage professional development. Who you are… Qualified to BTech HNC (Civil Engineering) Experienced in processing highways planning applications Excellent numerical skills and able to prepare Bills of Quantities and undertake site measurements Effective communicator with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels Experience of working with contractors and developers Able to develop innovative concepts Able to deputise for the Senior Highways Manager when required. As an integral member of the team you will be required to work as part of a standby rota responding to emergencies, attending public meetings and assisting the team with all other queries associated with Rutland highways.
