The Paterson Group are looking for an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. The primary purpose of the position is to identify new business opportunities in both the temporary and permanent recruitment sectors to achieve increased revenue and profitability.

The Paterson Group places high quality candidates in various sectors including Health and Social Care, Driving, Industrial, Luxury Retail, Catering and Commercial. Established locally in 1972, we have developed long term partnerships with many blue chip companies offering sought after temporary and permanent positions.

Sales Business Development Manager responsibilities:-

Identify new business opportunities across all sectors
Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients
Negotiate with potential clients, present to them and close business deals
Ensure revenue and profit targets are met by seeking and expanding the client base
Build and maintain long term key customer relationships through rapport building
Have a thorough knowledge of the solutions/services the company can provide to pitch to potential clients
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Research and identify potential new markets and sectors
Maximise opportunities with existing clients
Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitor activity

Sales and Business Development Manager skills and experience:-

Strong Communication and negotiation skills
IT Fluency
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent time management and organisation
Proven sales track record
Working experience as a Sales or Business Development Manager
Ability to build rapport
A positive attitude
