This brigade requires a dedicated, organised Pizza Chef to join their kitchen team, at one of the most exciting award-winning hotel and restaurants in South Devon. The position is permanent.
Running of a traditional wood fired oven, which is influenced by the kitchen garden and local area produce, which can change by the hour and certainly every day. It can be challenging at times, but very rewarding as you will be working in a guest facing environment.
Must have own transport, as no public transport links, and no onsite live-in available.

Key Features of the Role:
As a wood fired Pizza Chef:
Responsible for running the wood fired oven when producing pizza's, flatbreads etc.
Using fresh garden ingredients to come up with creative pizza combinations.
Work in a busy kitchen team, in a guest facing outdoor environment.
Assist other staff with dough production.
Prepare ingredients for garnishes, including washing, peeling and chopping.
Maintain fridges and other food storage areas, monitoring and recording temperatures.
Cook and plate food according to agreed recipes and standards.
Operate wood fired oven, and other kitchen equipment in a safe and healthy manner.
Undertake training and development from Senior Chefs.
Help others through the same process and achieve your own career goals.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Must have reliable transport (own car or motorbike) to get to site.
Be an accomplished wood fired oven Pizza Chef with experience of working with a wood fired oven and with fresh food ingredients, preparing dough and food preparation.
Above all you must be a real "foodie" able to serve good, fresh and local food.
Practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
Working in a busy restaurant environment, a team player, good organisational skills.
Consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right brand quality standards.
Previous experience in a similar Pizza Chef role and ideally a broad food knowledge.
Worked in guest facing outdoor environment.

What's on Offer?
Basic salary of a Pizza Chef can range from �18K - �22K per annum (depending on experience and trial test results).
Tronc worth around �2500 per annum on top of your basic annual salary.
Working full time hours either 4 days / 5 days on, 3 / 2 days off per week.
20-day Holiday entitlement plus bank and public holidays, rising by 1 day each year for 5 years.
