Income Assistant – Lambeth – 3 Month Contract – �17.00 per hour (inside IR35, Umbrella) – start date early February

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a income Assistant in Lambeth to be responsible for assisting the Arrears Prevention Officers and Manager in providing an Income management service to customers in accordance with Housing Management policies, procedures and processes.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

* Provide administrative support service for the Central Income Team to ensure that systems are in place to contribute to the effective prevention of arrears for the Team.
* Supporting customers to pay by providing advice and assistance to enable customers to maintain their tenancies by ensuring that customers have information on welfare benefits and any other income available to them.
* Assisting to ensure that customers are aware of their responsibilities with regard to payment of rent, rent arrears and to provide assistance and advice in regards to benefit entitlements and maximise any available means of rent arrears.
* Responsible for the updating, recording and maintaining the staff Absence Return records. This includes the recording of the monthly absence return sheet and the yearly absence cards and monthly sickness statistics.
* Ensure that all incoming post is recorded, acknowledged, distributed and progressed within an efficient administrative system.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
* Experience of income collection or credit Control and working to targets.

35 hours per week. Full time, Monday – Friday
