An excellent opportunity has arisen for a History teacher to take on a long term position commencing after February half term or earlier if possible through to the end of the academic year. Situated in Stockport this modern high school is looking for a History teacher to take on the responsibility of raising attainment levels of GCSE students in preparation for the exam period.

The successful Historian will be taking on a time table that consists of intervention and full class teaching across years 7-11, working with smaller groups that are currently behind their expected levels of progress. The school is a traditional mixed comprehensive with students coming from a variety of social classes due to its diverse catchment area.

Academically the school currently achieves slightly below averages for both the LEA of Stockport and nationally so there is a platform to significantly impact the results of the students you are teaching. Having recently moved the school has outstanding facilities, the latest technological equipment and teaching aids.
