Description

As the Electrical Authorised Person within eSmart Networks you will assist in the delivery of the engineering activities within your allocated project team predominately within South East England. You will undertake the delivery of construction requirements relating to DNO/IDNO owned assets and associated infrastructure under the direction of the Delivery Director as part of the delivery team from LV to 33KV this role involves working closely with and supporting the Delivery Managers, Commissioning Engineers, Supervisors, jointers and subcontractors as well as other members of the delivery team ensuring successful delivery of a portfolio of projects in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Authorised Person:

* Ensuring all jointing teams hold the correct equipment and tools to carry out duties.
* Maintain Company Vans to a high specification ensuring clean, tidy and stocked in line with our company brand.
* Adhering to DNO/IDNO specification at all times.
* Build and Develop compelling relationships with all clients, external and internal.
* Organise work schedules and maintain timesheets.
* Maintain communication channel between teams, clients and site agents.
* Delivery of tasks on time and within budget.
* Ensure all Point of Connection dates are adhered to and not missed.
* Report damaged or faulty HV/LV networks.
* Carry out cable ID within your DNO area.
* Link, Switch and fuse UK DNO and IDNO networks.
* Utilising a range of office software including E-mail and Microsoft Suite.
* Working closely with the HSEQ department adhering to compliance regulations.

Requirements of The Electrical Authorised Person:

* Working knowledge of HV/LV networks and IDNO companies.
* Substation builds, linking, switching and fusing.
* Within the Utilities sector.
* Knowledge of the NERS accreditation scheme.
* Safety and Environmental regulations.
* iDNO and DNO G81 suite of documents.
* Customer Service and impact on business performance.
* Knowledge and awareness of continuous improvement within existing and new processes.

Skills & Abilities:

* Ability to work as part of a highly focused team to meet deadlines and to work with others to achieve shared goals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain compelling relationships.

* Excellent Attention to detail
* Ability to work on own initiative and a self-motivated approach.
* Proactive and flexible approach.
* Ability to investigate, resolve or escalate client issues/requirements

Experience/Qualifications:

* Strong proven background within Electrical Engineering.
* Previous experience within a supervisory role.
* UK DNO/iDNO authorisation certification - Ideally UKPN authorised
* NRSWA, SMSTS and CSCS cards
* Experience within the Utilities/construction sector.
* HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
