Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Bradford that are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide additional support to pupils on a full time basis (5 days a week, term time only).

Our client is an all age special school in Heaton (BD9) and caters for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of SEN including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The successful applicant will be required to work across the school, supporting pupils both in and outside the classroom with a range of activities.

Due to the specific needs of the pupils, experience in Personal Care and/or a Moving and Handling qualifications is desirable. All pupils attending have Education, Health and Care Plans; indicating profound and complex needs, severe learning difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions. In addition some children require alternative communication methods such as PECS. You will be able to successfully implement individual plans, working under the direction of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and a team of medical professionals to meet the needs of key pupils.

We are looking to appoint an individual who is able to work on a supply basis and at short notice with a wide range of SEN.
