Area Sales Manager -Food/ Retail - St Helens, Merseyside

Salary: £33k to £40k plus Company car on a job need basis.

Full time - Permanent

Our client is a successful and established Retail Bakery outlet with over 150 shops located across the North West, Midlands and Yorkshire regions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join their business. The candidate will ideally be located within a 20 mile radius of Haydock Island as a reference point, to support the shops across that area/region.

Key areas of Responsibility/ Results:

- Sales and Business Development,
- Customer service,
- Management and development of people,
- Team performance and effectiveness,
- Compliance adherence, and communication between retail and central functions.


Essential Criteria:

- You will have a can do attitude, someone who is willing to get stuck in and be used to a fast paced, hands on, fresh food environment.
- You are used to the challenges of retail and managing an area of circa 15-20 shops.
- You will be a professional, motivated, energetic team player with high standards of food safety, health and safety and shop cleanliness.
- You have a keen eye for product availability and are sales driven.
- You will inspire, motivate and lead your shop teams.


Experience:

- 3 + years' experience in Food/ Retail operating at the level of an Area Sales Manager.
- You will have the ability to solve problems, work on own initiative as well as being a strong team player.
- You will be IT literate and familiar with the use of the major software packages, such as Word and Excel,
- You have the ability to interpret and act on various reports and information.
- You will have a clean full UK driving licence and have no issues with travel.
- You have are adapatable to situation and can cover issues on other areas across the business when required.
