Salary: �26,930 per annum

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

About the Company:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join Making Space, a national charity providing Health & social care services. This role will be based at our Day Service in the centre of Warrington.

The Day Service is a busy hub which offers support to service members and new referrals from a wide range of areas and backgrounds. It is a well-regarded friendly centre that offers opportunities for volunteering, mental health support, advice and guidance using both paid staff and volunteers.

The main role of the Service Manager will to be co-ordinate, manage and promote the development of the Warrington Community Health Service including the transformation of the Allen Street Service centre/hub.

Service Manager Responsibilities:

* Be responsible for the strategic and operational development of the service in order to ensure its effectiveness and future sustainability
* Work within the community to identify community assets and work in partnership with local organizations, positively promoting the service
* To recruit, develop and facilitate training and provide leadership, ongoing supervision and support to support workers, peer coordinator, peers and volunteers
* Develop and manage partnerships with key agencies including, for example: GP's, commissioners, community agencies and workplaces
* Promote mental health and wellbeing by facilitating the development of the service in healthcare and non-healthcare settings in the community
* To co-ordinate all of the marketing tasks involved in promoting the service
* Co-ordinate and implement a service model which reflects current requirements with regards to the national programme for best practice

Service Manager Requirements:

* NVQ IV (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
* Experience of working at a service manager level within a community day service - is there a minimum amount of experience that you'd like the candidates to have for this? E.g. At least 12 months
* Experience in recruiting, training and managing staff and volunteers - is there a minimum amount of experience that you'd like the candidates to have for this?
* Experience of managing a project and project evaluation processes - is there a minimum amount of experience that you'd like the candidates to have for this?
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in the written form
* Awareness of the local Mental Health Strategy
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and one's own time with a minimum of supervision
* Experience of using IT for a range of different purposes (including to monitor service performance/outcomes)
