Chartered Building Surveyor - Manchester

The Role:

Our Client is looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their award winning team. The ideal candidate would be at least with two years Chartered, driven, proactive, good common sense, and commercially minded.

Role Responsibilities:

- Planning and overseeing office refurbishments and tenant fit out works;
- Project management of multidisciplinary teams;
- Working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts;
- Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters;
- Undertaking building surveys;
- Advice on defect diagnostics and repair work;
- Produce budget cost plans;
- Preparation of schedules of works; and
- Preparation of schedule of dilapidations and negotiating on be behalf of Landlord and Tenant.


Essential Skills & Requirements:

- Working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts;
- Good client facing skills;
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to a high standard;
- Well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines;
- Confidence and determination to get the job done striving at all times to exceed the client's expectations; and
- Full driving licence
