About our Client

Our client is one of the divisions of a large organisation based in Westerham, Kent. Their aim is to provide and deliver sophisticated financial planning to individuals and companies, in a transparent and value-driven manner through partnerships with advisory firms. They act for their clients and believe that the quality of what they do sets the success benchmark for the company.

Due to their continued success and growth, they have a rare opportunity for a Junior IFA to join this well-established, personable practice to support one of their IFAs. Their IFA has been providing financial advice in London for over 30 years and covers all areas of financial planning including investments, retirement, IHT and protection.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an existing client bank, with the support of a highly qualified back office support team. Full training and support will be given, however existing experience in a similar role will be highly advantageous e.g. either a Junior IFA looking to progress or a Paraplanner looking to move into a client servicing role.

90% of their clients are based in Central London, so the successful candidate will work out of their Westerham office but spend a significant proportion of their working week seeing clients in Central London.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

* Keeping up to date with financial products and key legislation
* Conducting research of the market to provide clients with the best information on new and existing products/services
* Working closely with Paraplanners to undertake sufficient product and market research to provide the right advice for existing and new clients
* Working closely with the IFA to facilitate the seamless transition of a proportion of their client base
* Once training is completed, conducting in-depth reviews of client's financial circumstances, current provision and future aims

Key Requirements:

* Qualified in or working towards the CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
* Ability to work independently and autonomously
* A desire to pursue a long-term career in financial services
