Sales/Marketing Manager - South West London

Salary: Highly competitive salary

The Company

Our client is one of the UK's leading decorative lighting specialists supplying a wide range of high end luxury fittings to interior designers and architects in the UK and worldwide.

The Role

Due to their success, our client is looking to recruit a Sales/Marketing Manager to work full time in their London showroom to lead on UK trade sales and to continue to develop sales and distribution worldwide. The candidate must have the ability to multitask and to communicate the brand story to a sophisticated audience, both in person and digitally.

Primarily based in our client's showroom in South West London, the role also includes occasional sales visits abroad, trade fairs and some travel outside of London.

Role Responsibilities:

- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team, devising sales plans and presenting them to the senior management team.
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence.
- Building and promoting strong, sustainable relationships with existing and new customers and understanding their needs. Be proactive accordingly.
- Presenting sales and revenue forecasts to the management team.
- To work with the management team to identify emerging markets and market shifts.
- Attending trade shows and managing the company's social media to market the brand.


Essential Skills & Requirements:

- Previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively problem solve.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Self-motivated, mature attitude.
- Knowledge of social media and digital marketing channels.
- Computer literate, high attention to detail, analytical and organised.
- Ability to present the company at industry events.
- Interest and knowledge of competitor activity is essential.
- Ability to multitask with strong administrative skills.
- Experience of trade sales in a high end luxury brand, knowledge of the handcrafted lighting sector would be advantageous.
