Procurement Specialist (Events, Travel & Marketing)

Location: Solihull,B90 8AB

Salary: Competitive

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities:

* Review contractual engagements in conjunction with local Legal departments, ensuring events contracts comply with Infor's standard operating procedures, applicable country laws and regulations whilst achieving commercial objectives.
* Promote procurement best practice with business stakeholders, mitigate risks and ensure business compliance with Infor's procurement policies.
* Functioning as part of the EMEA team, assist with driving cost reduction and improving overall services, for greater efficiency.
* Challenge requirements specifications and offer best value alternatives while leveraging buying power with existing vendors where suitable.
* Assist and participate in negotiations for vendor agreements.
* Build effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high-level service and providing timely responses to all queries.
* Support the Marketing, Travel and Events functions with the sourcing of venues, event spaces and hotels, in line with Infor's policies and leveraging existing agreements with approved vendors where appropriate.
* Manage the corporate contracting process for the Marketing, Travel and Events requirements in EMEA, leveraging buying power and maintaining consistency across the organisation, in line with Infor's contracting standards.

Procurement Specialist Requirements:

* Solid educational background, to at least A-Level standard or equivalent
* CIPS qualification, or part qualification, or currently studying towards achieving the qualification
* Experience in procurement and purchasing in an international organisation (Preferably EMEA-wide, with a focus on Marketing, Travel & Events activities)
* Able to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
* Analytical approach to problem solving
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to speak additional language (Desirable, but not essential)
* Previous experience in contract negotiation
* Self-motivated individual
* Proactive approach to managing a varied workload
* Desire to build strong relationships across business functions while assertively advocating the value of smart procurement
