Territory Manager

Location: London (Home based but reporting to our Head Office in Gloucestershire)

Salary: Competitive + Car

Hours: Basic 40-hour week Monday to Friday 8.30 - 17.30 however the requirements of the job will dictate that you may need to vary these hours.

Our client, a division of Healthcare 21 are the leading independent medical imaging equipment supplier serving hospitals and diagnostic centres throughout the UK and Ireland.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Territory Manager to join their Commercial Team. You will ideally need experience within NHS and / or Private healthcare Sectors and also have a sound understanding of commercial sales in the healthcare arena.

You will be responsible for the development and management of modality and maintenance sales opportunities at customer and strategic reference sites within your assigned Territory. You will act as the company representative in all aspects of corporate involvement in the Territory, working under general 'remote' supervision whilst exercising independent judgment and functioning within approved guidelines.

Responsibilities of the Territory Manager:

* Build and maintain good working relationships with customers whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times.
* Maintain and nurture the existing customer installed base to maximise company turnover and profit.
* Prospect new business by continuously, looking for new opportunities for all their modality products and services.
* Develop and propose in consultation with Line Manager, a sound sales strategy and initiatives to enable business and sales growth.
* Participate in professional Trade Shows and attend national meetings. Organise and attend local meetings as required

Requirements of the Territory Manager:

* A sound understanding of commercial sales of capital equipment in the healthcare arena
* Must be able to prepare reports and other documentation to a very high level and be methodical and accurate.
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload to ensure client requirements are met and relationship expectations are exceeded.
* Good knowledge of the market and competitor activity.
* Thorough knowledge of the various healthcare procurement processes
