The Client

The Role

The role involves undertaking bulk analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials, the use of polarised light microscopy in line ISO 17024, reporting of analytical findings, participation in RICE and AIMS schemes and associated administration and quality compliance.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must also possess the following:

Hold a P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples certificate

Previous UKAS accredited laboratory experience

A good general standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent

Be IT literate (use of TEAMs would be an advantage).

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver first rate customer service.

The contracted hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

In addition, the successful candidate will receive company paid healthcare (long service award applies), company pension into which the company contribute 2% of qualifying earnings, 22 days holiday (long service award applies) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
