To produce electrical certification documentation and conduct certification analysis and testing for the approval of aircraft seating products.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

* Manage and deliver electrical certification programmes as per agreed schedules
* Coordinate with regulatory agencies i.e, EASA, FAA, Boeing, Airbus and various Integrators to certify the electrical components installed in their aircraft seats
* Responsible for the compilation and review of certification drawings and documents such as Engineering Process Specification’s (EPS), etc.
* Liaise with electrical equipment manufacturers to finalise the equipment and their installation specification of the equipment
* Compile electrical component hardware and software specifications, to enable the supplier to develop and manufacture the electrical components to be installed in our seats
* Analyze and oversee Electrical Certification requirements, e.g. EMC /EMI testing (Electrical Systems)
* Preparation and review of the Qualification Test Plans/Reports, Acceptance Test Plans/Reports
* Preparation and review of System Safety Analysis Documents, FMEA Documents and Grounding and Bonding Documents, etc.
* Completion of Design Verification Testing which is required on FAI seats
* Generate documentation for development and certification testing
* Prepare and conduct development and certification testing
* Prepare test/analysis documentation for customer and regulatory approval
* Liaise with Electrical equipment suppliers to obtain specifications and their data to support the programme
* Attend and participate in programme related PDR, CDR and FAI events
* Mentor Apprentices
* To communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers

Technical Competencies:

* Qualified to a minimum of a degree in an electrical engineering field. Alternatively a HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification in an Electrical Engineering field, with a demonstrated knowledge / experience in electrical certification and/or aircraft interior equipment and installation
* Experience of working with Boeing and Airbus specifications for electrical equipment installation and certification
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements of EASA and FAA for the certification and qualification of electrical systems equipment and installation
* A working knowledge of Microsoft office
* Experience of EMI/EMC testing/certification
* A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture and test of electrical and electronic components and assemblies
