We have an exciting opportunity to join our Global Oil & Gas Client working on a range of offshore oil and gas projects.

Position: Cost Controller

Salary: c�50,000 - �55,000 per annum

Location: Kingston upon Thames

The Role:

Supporting the Project Managers decision making you will be involved with Generating and managing a cost control system. Ensure any deviations from budget are promptly identified / analysed with corrective action taken. Establishing a cost awareness atmosphere among project teams whilst satisfying both operating client company and corporate cost control reporting requirements.

This position will work across the following specific responsibilities:

Initial Project phase:
- After contract award, ensure the implementation of the Cost Control System, elaborating the consolidated Cost Breakdown Structure according to the relevant procedure, reviewing the procurement/accounting system adopted at each operating company involved with the project.
- Issue the Project Cost Control Procedure, Cost Coding Manual and Risk Management Plan, for the Project Control Manager verification.
- Split the Commercial Budgets in order to report revenues/costs by entity, currencies, and prepare cash flow by currency.
- Coordinate risk management activities and the qualitative / quantitative assessment of identified risks and opportunities.

Project execution phase:
- Ensure the cost control system works effectively and cost status is assessed and reported.
- Monitor activity progress and the relevant earned value, as well as value of work done, against invoices received, determining monthly accruals and generating accounts in line with works progress.
- Support projects during the contract changes/claims process, providing cost impact analysis, and updating cost/revenue forecasts.
- Analyse committed costs and activities to-date, review estimates to completion and advise the Project Managers accordingly.
- Maintain the risk management process, organising periodic meetings and verifying risk owners feedback.
- Issue project and company reports.

Expereince Required

5 - 7 Years within a cost control environment

Degree Qualified in relevant subject.
