Deputy/ Assistant Manager - Children's Residential Home - Newcastle-under-Lyme

Salary: £24000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience
Shifts: 2x 24 hours shifts on, 4 days off.

They are going through an exciting time of continued growth and expansion and are now looking for an experienced Registered Manager to join their team of outstanding managers.


- Manage the day to day running of a small Ofsted registered childrens home
- Ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered at all times
- Managing your team and homes budgets
- Ensuring that all current legislation is met and exceeded
- Develop and maintain key relationships with children, staff parents and professionals.
- Be aware and safeguard young peoples emotional and physical wellbeing
- Lead the home through all Ofsted inspections


- Background specialising in residential services that work with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- An inspirational leader who can manage and develop an inspiring team in the delivery of high-quality care and service that puts children and young people first.
- A kind, friendly and very approachable personality and most importantly have a passion for working with children and young people
- Reliable and dedicated and poised to hit the ground 'sprinting'.
- Be expected to provide a child centred approach that includes our company values of empathy, trust, honesty, integrity, compassion & safeguarding.
- Able to develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development as well as maintaining high standards and ensure compliance with Ofsted Regulations and Quality Standards.


- Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
- Prior experience being registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and relevant legislation
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and effective supervision skills.
- The ability to cope with and remain calm in challenging and demanding situations and be flexible to meet the needs of the home.


- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
- Childrens Residential Care Management: 2 years (Preferred)
- NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Childrens Residential Care (Preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
