Working collaboratively with key waterfront stakeholders and NP PT’s Industrial Partner Rolls-Royce, to plan and execute all NSRP maintenance activities to meet the requirements of the Submarine Support Maintenance Programme (SSMP).


As an Operations Manager within the IS&DS Team you will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of all NSRP maintenance conducted during the Upkeep Support periods. Liaising with stakeholders to provide timely updates and resolutions on arising critical path activities to the NPPT Design Authority, MOD Safety teams, In-Service Submarine Programme teams, Technical Authority and the Repair Authority. You will engage and support a diverse range of stakeholders across the Submarine Enterprise, to deliver NSRP NPPT dependencies in a way that identifies risks and recommends clear, viable mitigating actions.

Have a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset working in partnership with NPPT Prime Contractor and Technical Authority, identifying opportunities to optimise maintenance activities to improve availability. This is a complex and ever-evolving role within a challenging environment, you will be required to have strong communication skill, self-motivated and use your own initiative to build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. The role is based at one of the SDA’s satellite sites and will require duty travel. In order to apply for this position, you must show clear evidence of the following in your CV:

• An Engineering/Technical background.

• Project Management experience.

• Good Stakeholder Management.
