Job IntroductionWe have an excellent opportunity for you to join our People
Function as our new People Partner. In this strategic role, you’ll create and
deliver effective People Plans through building strong partnerships with our
Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team. Working in a small team of 3 People Partner’s, you’ll each
have designated business areas to support which allows you to plan both short
and long-term activity and continue to influence and implement robust People
Plans. Main ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be responsible for identifying and understanding the
people capabilities and people change requirements of your business areas and
turn these into strategic plans which have clear deliverables and expectations.
You’ll enjoy challenging the traditional way of doing things whilst considering
how your ideas can support and strengthen the positive culture we have built
here at the Society. Being part of the wider People Team, you’ll work closely
with colleagues across the department including Reward, Resourcing,
Organisation Development and Colleague Experience (to name a few!) to leverage
the capabilities of the People Team in order to deliver the overall People
Plan. This role provides an excellent opportunity to
build relationships at a senior level, and more importantly be able to
constructively challenge at all levels in order to drive change in
a way that
delivers tangible results. Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for someone who has experience influencing at
a senior level in order to deliver strategic plans. You’ll be able to evaluate
change projects and turn these into short and long-term plans, ensuring the
right people are on board and accountable for delivering the proposed people
strategy. As well as an understanding of general Human Resource
practice, you’ll have some leadership skills which you can transfer into this
role (such as coaching and delivering feedback) in order to engage and work in
partnership with your senior stakeholders. The key competencies for this role
are: - Ability to build relationships and influence at
a senior level - Experience managing strategic HR change projects - Understanding of Human Resource practices - Experience of building a people strategy - Understanding of resource/budgetary/headcount
