We are looking to recruit an experienced Conference and Banqueting Manager to work onsite at one of Levy UK’s prestigious client site based in East London.
As a Conference and Banqueting Manager you will be working at the ExCel in London.  ExCel is the UK’s leading convention and exhibition centre. We cater for over 300 events per year, meeting a hugely diverse range of requirements. From a fine dining experience for thousands of delegates, to an on-the-go lunch for an exhibitor team, we operate on all scales with outstanding care in every service area. Our business is growing and we have added new and exciting possibilities every day through our partnership with our client, event organisers and exhibitors.
Last year we completed a major project where we opened 2 new restaurants and refurbished and rebranded new ‘food to go’ offerings.
Job Description
Up to £28000 depending on experience

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Conference and Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for managing all Conference and Banqueting floor operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience. A Conference and Banqueting Floor Manager will also be required to optimise sales and provide leadership to the team to ensure targets are met. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Manage all Conference and Banqueting floor operations
Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
Ensure compliance of brand standards
Evaluate guest satisfaction levels through mystery dine reports with a focus on continuous improvement
Awareness of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of Conference and Banqueting
Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for action
Maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas and with the client, external customers and suppliers
Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
Ensure that training is carried out on an ongoing basis
Ensure communication meetings are conducted
Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures

The Ideal CandidateWhat are we looking for?


Strong knowledge of Events/leisure/service sector
Record of success in Conference and Beverage, specifically the ability to deliver profit, control costs, and build customer loyalty
Exceptional communication skills
Exceptional leadership skills to create a winning team
Conference and Banqueting Operations experience in a managerial position in a hotel/Events or similar
Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
