We are currently recruiting a Head Chef (Boarding House Chef) to deliver fresh food for up to 60 boys within one of Eton College’s boarding houses.

We are looking for a personable, friendly individual to give focus to the daily service delivery and production of high quality exciting food, from daily student feeding of breakfast, snack, lunch and supper to the set-up of functions and events within the boarding house. Working closely with our customers, you will become part of the house and join in with celebrations and sports to build good relationships and create a home from home for the students.

This position will suit an ambitious individual, who is skilled in fresh food delivery and customer service.

Please note, this role works 6 days per week for 36 weeks per year (term time) and is a mixture of early and late shifts.

Main Responsibilities
Delivery of freshly cooked food for a boarding house, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service
Ensure consistency of service and standards within the house, implementing service improvement and creative solutions where required
Effectively work across both Sodexo and Eton College teams to build profitable long term relationships and support the college objectives
Work with Chefs to ensure all food is prepared fresh and to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation
Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation
Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary

The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a Chef role, ideally with experience of boarding houses or equivalent environment is ideal
Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations
Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Personal innovation and passion for quality food
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
