Do you want a PART TIME Accounts Assistant role around the school run? Do you have good office admin and experience in an accounts department? Maybe you`re returning to work after maternity/paternity and only want part time hours? If so, our client, an industrial supplies distributor based in Oldham is looking for someone just like you to join their team.

Due to workload, they are looking to recruit a PART TIME Accounts Assistant, working closely with the full time accounts manager to assist with the smooth running of the accounts department as well as general office support.

You would interact with various departments within the business that may need extra administrative help as well as cover reception/incoming calls from time to time. With this in mind, we are looking for good communication skills, personable approach, a team player and someone with a genuine desire to help where help is needed and work towards collective goals.

This position is to carry out the general accounts and deal with the day to day paperwork that a busy industrial distributor requires. It covers most aspects of general accounts from sales and purchase ledger, right through to credit control and reconciliation. We are looking for someone who loves numbers, is happy doing this part time and is comfortable working in a busy environment where they can still interact with the team but still get the work done. Whilst this is a small office, it is still a busy role and the team are a friendly bunch.

Main duties to include:

- Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Credit control
- Reconciliation
- Supplier payments
- Liaising with customers/suppliers
- Producing accurate invoices, check and sign off for payment
- Answer phone and welcome any visitors
- Provide general admin and office support
- Working to tight deadlines
- Ad hoc duties as required

We are looking for:

- Experience in a similar general accounts role (ideally for a manufacturing/industrial business)
- Genuine desire to work Part time
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised and methodical
- Flexible approach to work
- Team player and friendly
- Good communication skills both over the phone and face to face
- Excellent work ethic and attitude towards work
- Genuine desire to work in a small team and play a big part

In return you can expect:

- Salary: £20k (pro rata)
- 9.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday (flexible - 20 to 25 hours per week)
- Holidays: 20 days + stats (pro rata)
- Free parking
