Currently working with a market-leading manufacturer in the food industry. The group manufacture quality products for use in human and animal food, with a huge annual turnover and operating over many sites in the UK.

The role:

* Ensuring HACCP and Quality Systems are maintained correctly.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
* Management of external agencies.
* Ensuring product safety and security.
* Ensuring that high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction is maintained.
* To deputise and cover roles as and when required.

The candidate:

* Knowledge of relevant legislation and HACCP, Food Safety and Food Hygiene.
* Proven practical experience of system maintenance and improvement.
* Experience in management/leadership and training a team.
* Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers confidently.
* Experience of GFSI audits (BRC, ISO22001) and FEMAS, ISCC or PAS110 audits.
* Valid UK Driving Licence.

The Position

Applications are invited to apply for the position of Technical/Quality Manager based at our Doncaster site. This is a full time, permanent, position, working Monday to Friday.

As a Technical/Quality Manager your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include:

To ensure the HACCP/ Quality Systems are correctly implemented, monitored and controlled.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, managing external agencies and ensuring product safety/security.
Ensuring that high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.

The Person

Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, & Food Hygiene;
Preferably knowledge of all relevant legislation relating to Food and Feed, Animal By Products and Waste, although training on specific sectors can be provided for someone with the relevant qualifications;
Proven practical experience of developing, managing and implementing systems;
Experience of training and coaching employees;
Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers, generating, agreeing and implementing specifications;
Experience of GFSI audits (BRC, ISO22001) and FEMAS, ISCC or PAS110 audits;
Experience in dealing with Government agencies (APHA & FSA) including Local Authority at local and National level.
Needs to be a tenacious and confident communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels;
Valid UK Driving Licence to drive a hire car.
