Are you an experienced Workshop Engineer and looking for a new challenge?

Our client is currently looking for a Workshop Engineer with both Mechanical and Electrical experience in a workshop environment to join their dynamic team at Peel Common, Fareham on permanent basis.

The post holder will be required to engineer a repair to all types of Southern Water Assets. The ideal candidate would have experience in the strip and repair of Mechanical Pumps, BandScreen, compactors, gearboxes, preferably with a current certificate to work on Explosion rated equipment.

The equipment that is being repaired has been in contact with sewage and all necessary wash down equipment along with all PPE will be supplied. To be successful in this role you must have knowledge or experience of a speciality area (electrics/mechanics/both) and heavy industry, have completed a recognised apprenticeship in an industrial area and a current Electrical Installation Regulations qualification.

You need to be flexible and adaptable and willing to work as a team as the main focus will be to complete all work in a timely and safe manner. Understanding of ISO 9001 procedures and H&S policies are required. Please note you must have a full clean driving licence as the role will include visiting other sites. This role will be ideal for a candidate with industrial plant maintenance skills and previous experience in a similar role.
