My client is a performance driven, consultative and strategic thinking full service digital marketing agency. My client is recognised within the top 50 independent e-consultancy agency and are on the hunt for a brilliant account director.

My client currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Digital Account Director to make a real difference with one of the agency’s newest most exciting clients initially and very quickly taking on new business in the pipeline.
The agency is helping this brand build their digital strategy, then implement it through paid and organic search, social and content, website (including analytics to drive UX, customer journeys and conversion) and light touch marketing automation. Being able to work with Business Analysts, designers and developers to create increased conversions on site, and with Search Teams to drive natural and paid traffic to the site will be an important part of the role.
My client are looking for someone with experience of driving the performance of truly integrated digital marketing accounts, has a really good understanding of and passion for strategy while being amazing at day to day account management where streamlined, seamless comms and process delights clients and means we have time to think. Someone who is happy to drive their client’s success; owning and manage their projects (with an AE and great, collaborative Search, Social and Content colleagues).
The successful candidate will get a buzz out of being close to the strategy and the numbers and will need to take responsibility for getting the very best from their expert colleagues. They’ll be able to autonomously prioritise and own the day-to-day management of projects, driving the campaigns forward by developing strong relationships with clients, and will have a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the accounts in terms of understanding the issues and challenges facing the client’s business, extracting requirements and developing them into business driven solutions with the support of the team.

The lead client is in the care sector; not immediately sexy perhaps but the brand is well established and has big ambitions and a new very talented Head of Digital who will be fun and challenging (in a good way!) to work with. The agency manage all the digital budget.
The client is looking for someone who can grow and drive both their clients’ and agency businesses forward. Are you a natural marketer? curious and able to think about client’s needs beyond the digital channel?

The Digital Account Director is responsible for:

• Owning the client relationships on the assigned accounts.
• Supporting the management team in driving the client’s business forward through ROI focussed work that delivers upon the client’s business and marketing objectives.
• On-going development of the accounts in terms of understanding the issues and challenges facing the client’s business, extracting requirements from this, show demonstrable technical knowledge and developing business driven solutions.
• Creating proposals, presentations and supporting new business initiatives.

Position within the Organisation
• The AD will report into the Managing Partner.
• The AD is responsible for managing and producing project work and developing good internal relationships with search, social and content teams and working to deliver results on time and on budget.
• The AD will also be responsible for mentoring an Account Executive/and possibly an AM assigned to the given accounts.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• To always represent Positive Digital to the best of his/her ability
• To develop and maintain mutually rewarding client relationships to assist future business development
• Develop well written proposals and considered briefs for the internal design and search teams as well as accurate requirement captures for the production team and brief projects into production clearly and succinctly
• Take responsibility and ownership for allocated projects in terms of budget allocation, quality and delivery
• Manage project plans/ timelines
• Be pro-active to client needs
• Successful processing of client requirements through internal systems
• Monitor progress of activity and make recommendations for modifications where appropriate including providing updates to Business Director
• Monitor competitor activity and report to client and Business Director
• Lead on forecasting and financial management of the account to ensure all client activity is invoiced in a timely manner
• Possible management and development of junior resource
