Registered Manager - Children - Surbiton - Full Time - Permanent - up to �40,000 + bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to join a residential home in Surbiton, providing care to looked after children with Autism and learning disabilities.

You will be joining the Ofsted-rated 'Good' home as Registered Manager, bringing your passion and enthusiasm to lead the existing team and to continue providing support to the children living in the home. The home supports girls and boys aged between 8 and 18, all of whom have an Autism diagnosis, and have been placed through the local county council. This is an extremely active home, with staff and children regularly attending clubs and activities such as football, swimming and bowling.
You will be a Registered Manager, or a Deputy Manager who has stood in as Registered Manager., and you will be used to leading a team of people. It is essential that you are a people-person. Experience with Ofsted and Regulation reports as well as safeguarding is also essential.

Your responsibilities will include;

- Advocating for the young people, promoting their rights, wishes and feelings, promoting the best possible outcomes for all children and support them to fulfil their potential.
- Ensuring the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for young people.
- Ensuring that occupancy is maintained at the optimal level, liaising with relevant commissioners when there are vacancies and working closely with the Director.
- Liaising and marketing the high quality and innovative work with children and young people to local authority partners.
- Ensuring there is a well-trained, experienced and qualified staff team to provide a high quality of care.
- Developing, managing and leading the staff team in working with children with learning disabilities/autistic spectrum disorders.
- Participating in assessment of children's needs, care planning and implementation, reviews, planning and disruption meetings for young people.
- Liaising with professionals and multi-agencies to ensure that young people receive support and external input to their changing needs.
- Ensuring that Regulation 44 Reports are completed monthly, actioned and distributed effectively.
- Providing strong and effective leadership, support and learning opportunities to staff ensuring staff feel supported and valued in their role through supervision and day to day communication systems.
- Providing high quality care to young people (including personal care).

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Surbiton. The role is paying up to �40,000 per annum + significant bonus.
