Teaching Personnel are currently working to recruit a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work with children and young people who present with challenging behaviour, ASC and other learning difficulties. This would be working on a full time basis in Derby and to begin as soon as schools go back!

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with students in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 accompanied by a Teacher and another Support Assistant. You will be working with children and young people who are not able to attend mainstream education, and who present with the following needs:

* Anxiety
* Speech and language difficulties
* MLD and SLD

The candidate must have:

* Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
* Experience of de-escalation training would be advantageous
* The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
* This role demands motivation, passion, patience, and the ability to emotionally support children who are from vulnerable backgrounds and situations. The successful candidate will benefit from a range of different qualifications that Teaching Personnel can offer you, should you not already be trained.

* Competitive pay rates of GBP65-GBP70 per day, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
