A large Secondary school located in Northamptonshire have a requirement within their Science department for a teacher of General Science from September 2020. This position will incorporate teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology to Key Stage 3, with aspects of Key Stage 4 delivery. This is a brilliant open gap opportunity for a teacher looking for their next or first post from September 2020.

* Pay in line with MPS/UPS (GBP24,343 - GBP40, 490)

* Post open to Science teachers of all levels (must hold QTS)

The successful Science teacher will also have the opportunity to join the faculty in May if available in order to gain an introduction to classes prior to the new academic year. The appointed teacher must be able to demonstrate outstanding practice, and partake in collaborative planning within the department." - Head of Science

The successful Science teacher will join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Northampton which has progressed massively in the last year. The school achieved good results across the Science department last academic year which they hope to continue going forward. As a result, the incoming Science teacher will be confident in delivering clear and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The selected applicant will be joining a high-achieving and pro-active Science department which allows teachers to teach within their specialism at GCSE level, whilst teaching all three disciplines of Science to KS3. The department use timetabled and dedicated time to plan and prepare lessons collaboratively; ensuring high quality lessons are delivered throughout the school. This position would be initially be the whole academic year, however there is the opportunity of a permanent contract for the incoming Science Teacher if they show a real passion to progress.
