Are you a Youth or Outreach Worker?

Are you are a graduate in Criminology, Sociology or Psychology?

OR maybe you have a passion and interest in working with youth?


As a specialist outreach worker you'll provide support to children and young adults 1:1 and in small groups with mentoring, employment, apprenticeships and outreach programmes. This will be based in a range of settings both within the school and throughout the community.

The school is based in Preston Lancashire, although you may be expected to travel around the local areas. The school provides bespoke development programmes to support vulnerable youth within the community. Pupils have a range of needs including social, emotional and attachment difficulties.

All staff within the school is required to support students both with their emotional and social needs so having a background in youth work, support work, mental health work or a understanding through studies of criminology, sociology and psychology is highly beneficial. However, those keen and interested in working with youth with these needs are welcome to apply as training is provided.

* Previous experience with youth work, criminology graduates - however this is not essential
