Art Teacher needed for Ofsted 'Good' School in Basingstoke

"Our lovely Secondary School based in the town of Basingstoke seeks a Teacher of Art and Design. This role is an open vacancy in the Art Department, where the subject is popular. The School is a wonderful place to work where Students actively engage with their learning. This Schools alignment with its values of respect and courage, and in its approach to its mixed 11-16 cohort, make it a diverse and rewarding place to work. This position is paid to scale on either MPS or Ups dependant on previous experience, and will start in the new 2020 academic year, in September.

The Art Department at the School teach across the specification, and now seek a practitioner able to deliver Art and design, the school also cover photography at KS4 and this could be incorporated into a split timetable. The subject is taught at KS3 and 4 at the School and enjoys excellent uptake post-KS3. The Department enjoys excellent resources and teaches in modern classrooms; as such Teachers are well-equipped for the job in hand. Results are strong year on year, and the School was recently found to be 'Good' by Ofsted.

The successful candidate will join an experienced team, able to support their colleagues' development and subsequent results. Regular training and CPD is offered at the School, and there is opportunity to bring creativity to the role as the School grows and its needs develop.
