The Role

This position is to work in a Year 2 class on a full time, long term basis. You will be required to work directly with the students in the classroom supporting with their academic progression and towards their social development. You will be helping the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom ensuring the pupils are fully engaged and learning to the best of their ability. There a student in the classroom with a statement of Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties with full time 1:1 support.

The school is a 2-form entry Primary School who is very well resourced with fantastic facilities. They offer a high level of support for all members of staff at the school and offer career progression for aspiring teachers. They have an above average intake of students with Special Educational Needs and have 1:1 support for every pupil with a statement. They located in Ashford with excellent transport links both to and from the school.

The deputy headteacher at the school has made me aware that they are looking for the applicant to be able to do the following:

* Be able to differentiate your working style to various abilities
* Maintain good behaviour management
* Work on your own initiative and stay proactive at all times
* Have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English
