Opportunity to support students aged 11 - 14 working with those who are identified as requiring additional assistance to close the attainment gap where possible.

A secondary school located in the heart of Warrington area is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) starting with them in September with the view that schools will have returned to some level of normality by this point. This is a great opportunity for a confident and motivated graduate or individual looking to pursue a career in the education sector.

The school is ideally looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience in supporting within a secondary school setting or similar but this is not essential. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting students in key stage 3 (year 7, 8 and 9) with intervention. Working with this age range (11 - 14) allows the successful Learning Support Assistant to build a relationship with students prior to embarking upon their GCSEs. The school is therefore looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is confident in these areas and is confident and adaptable in their approach.

Key aspects of the LSA role:

* Full time Learning Support Assistant required: former experience within a school environment ideal
* Pay range dependent upon experience and qualification: earn up to �1300 per month
* Provide support and intervention to year 7 - 9s in the main with opportunity to support a variety of students as required
* Highly academic school with a large cohort of students identified as excelling students and gifted and talented
* LSA required from September for a year in the first instance; opportunity to progress onto a school based contract

Ideally starting upon schools returning in September, any Learning Mentors, Learning Support Assistants or Teaching Assistants are highly encouraged to apply now for immediate consideration.
