As an Operator (Substation Fitter) you will assist a Craftsperson with general site work associated with the the construction, maintenance and repair of plant and switchgear up to 66kV.  In addition you will be required to undertake substation inspections.

The work will involve being away from the depot, normally working in a team of two people.  The working environment requires quick, decisive and responsible actions to meet the demands of the role.

Main Responsibilities As an Operator you will assist a Craftsperson with the general site work associated with the construction, maintenance and repair of plant and switchgear up to 66kV. In addition you will be required to undertake substation inspections. 
The Ideal CandidateYou will need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives.You will ideally have some experience in the electrical field, however all necessary training will be provided.

You will need to be mobile throughout the area as you may be required to undertake standby duties, therefore a valid driving licence is essential.

Please note, where job roles involve working at height and the use of Personal Fall Protection Equipment, there are restrictions on the maximum weight of the individual.
