Working across EYFS and Key Stage 1

PPA Cover

A larger than average primary school in the Accrington area are looking for a PPA teacher to cover the EYFS & Key Stage 1 class teachers whilst they plan and prepare their lessons. The role of a PPA teacher is to cover the class teachers while they are planning, preparing and completing the relevant assessment for their pupils. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable across EYFS and KS1 with good behaviour management. You would be teaching foundation subjects including Art, Geography, History, PE and R.E. Prior to starting in September 2020, you would receive the long-term planning. The position is covering a gap in staffing so would initially be until December 2020 however there may be an option for this to be extended.

Whilst you cover PPA in the classrooms there is a full-time teaching assistant who is familiar with the class and the daily routines. Experience delivering the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum and knowledge of the EYFS Framework is essential. The school are interested to meet with both NQTs and experienced teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
