About the School:

This special needs school caters for pupils in a mainstream secondary setting. Many pupils have additional needs including EAL, SEMH and SEN. The school therefore has a large support team to allow pupils to achieve their full potential whilst in education.

The school is currently oversubscribed and going through expansion to cater for its lengthy waiting list.

At this school, each pupils needs are carefully and individually evaluated so that they can aspire to reach exceptional standards. The school have an extremely supportive SLT team dedicated to the continued improvement of the schools outcomes - in particular, tackling challenging behaviour and rangaging those pupils who are at risk of exclusion back into their education.

With the recent closures, this secondary school would like to be prepared to meet the demaqnds they may face when pupils return to their daily rotine and aid the catch they will require within the curriculum but also with their behaviour management.

What are we looking for?

For this position, it is essential you have experience working with young people that have faced hardship or presented challenging behaviours. It would be advantageous if you had a Team Teach qualification.

What is most important to this school is that they find someone who matches their values and can be a positive role model for all pupils in which they work with.

Due to the varying needs and age of the students at this school, we are looking for applicants who have a flexible approach to work. Although rewarding, working with such vulnerable young people can be extremely challenging so we are looking for team players with a great sense of humour.
