A Head Teacher from a Leyland based SEMH provision has approached Teaching Personnel to recruit a har working, confident and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant.

The role is to start on a full time basis from September 2020 and candidates applying for this role must be available to work 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

The School is smaller than average with just 45 pupils on roll, mainly aged between 13 - 17 years of age. Pupils in this School are no longer able to remain in mainstream education due to their behaviour and / or additional needs. Pupils in this School often display difficult behaviours and / or have additional needs including Autism, ADHD, ODD, Learning Difficulties and SEMH Difficulties.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

- Experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviours

- Access to a car

- Strong behaviour management skills

- A calm, empathetic yet resilient nature

- Strong personality and good sense of humour

- The ability to work full time hours from September 2020

If successful, you will benefit from:

- Access to CPD courses including Team Teach

- �75 - 80 per day in pay

- Long term role with the view to become permanent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
