Are you currently looking to utilise your skills to support students in Secondary school?

If so, our partner school in Leigh have a vacancy starting in September for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work directly with pupils who have been identified as displaying behaviours relating to social, emotional and mental health needs.

"Our Inclusion team have an opening for a skilled Behaviour Support Mentor to work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, to promote positive behaviour strategies. We are looking for a specialist to join us from January, initially until summer. The successful Mentor will report back to the Inclusion team and track the progress that each student has made." * Full time position, required to start in September 2020.
* Supporting students identified with challenging behaviours.
* Working collaboratively with the Inclusion department at school.
* Pay in line with previous experiences, competitive daily pay rate.
* Located in the Leigh area of Wigan.

This position is ideal for an individual who has been working with disengaged young people in a Youth work capacity. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will be expected to support students in classes, and deliver targeted interventions during recreational times within the Inclusion department. All progress must be tracked and reported back to the Inclusion team at the end of each week.

Situated in Leigh, the school is ideally located for those with their own from of transport and even those on public transport. The school offers easy acces from surrounding areas such as; Lowton, Golborne, Hindley, Ashton-in-Makerflied, St Helens and even salford.
