Additional support required from September for identified pupils starting mainstream secondary school, helping to better the engagement with education from the offset due to a massive gap in education since the COVID19 outbreak.

A larger than average secondary school located in Preston are currently looking to recruit a dedicated Youth Worker from September 2020 to work with a group of identified pupils aged 11 to 16 who posses challenging behaviour and struggle to engage in lessons. The pupils will require support with behaviour management and reaching their full potential.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the areas of youth work, disadvantaged young people or challenging behaviours and be able to access the Preston area.

Highlights of the Youth Worker role:

* Full-time temporary Youth Worker - Preston
* Starting September 2020
* Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour who are more likely to be at risk of exclusion
* A couple of students will be from a care background - empathetic/ nurturing nature required
* Working at a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Darwen alongside the school's SEND and pastoral department.
* Earning up to GBP1400 a month (paid weekly)

The incoming Youth Worker will join a fantastic team of teachers and support staff in September who are dedicated to the learning and development of its pupils. The school is a new build with modern learning facilities.
