NEW ROLE! SEN Teaching Assistant (full-time) starting from Monday 7th September 2020 leading to a permanent contract

Teaching Personnel have been contacted by a primary school in Poole who are looking to employ a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work at the school from 7th September 2020 for a permanent position. If you have experience of working in primary schools, as well as experience with ASC children in any capacity, then read on as this could be the role for you!

The school have set out the following requirements for the role:

* Experience of working in primary schools (preferably with children aged 7-11 years)
* Experience working with ASC (Autism) children in any capacity (school or other)
* Free for full-time work
* Able to travel to Poole

The role involves a combination of general class TA work, as well as more dedicated 1-2-1 support when necessary for 2 children in Key stage 2. Whenever possible the school would prefer if the child in question stays in class and participates in class activities. Whilst the child is mostly comfortable with this, there are occasions when he can become overwhelmed and therefore must be taken from the class for some 1-2-1 support instead. Because the child does need to be taken from the class on occasion, the SLT would prefer someone who has experience of support roles such as this, as well as someone who can operate as a more general TA when the child is in class.

It is a lovely primary school that is 2 form entry from Reception through to Year 6, where behaviour of the children is on the whole very good and the staff are welcoming and supportive to new recruits. It was last graded by Oftsed as GOOD, and hope to one day achieve OUTSTANDING. Therefore, this would be a great working environment for anyone seeking work in schools.
