Have you thought about supporting children who have behaviour that challenges?

Could you make a difference to a child who has experienced trauma or has additional needs?

We are looking for people who want to make a real difference to lives of children who are unable to access mainstream education due to behaviour that challenges.

This can be a challenging but very rewarding job, engaging children in education and building self esteem.

What will you be doing?

* Working 1:1 or 2:1 with pupils
* Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
* Providing a supportive and nurturing environment
* Helping pupils to increase their self-esteem and confidence by listening to them and working with other proffessional on appropriate strategies
* Supporting learning towards vocational and academic qualifications
* Supporting with agreeing and writing action plans
* Working with a range of age groups from Ks1 - Ks4
* Acting as a role model

Ideally you will have relevant work experience with children, young people or adults which can be either in a paid or voluntary capacity in places such as;

* children's homes
* family community centres
* family refuge centres
* mental health services
* nurseries and schools
* probation services
* youth projects
* Mentoring
* Advisory work
* Coaching
